He was the son of Walter and Lula Maude McCormick Brown. An MP during WWII he was an honor guard for President Roosevelt's funeral train. He married Hazel Louise Self 6 Sept 1947 in Morgan Co. and they had three sons, Larry, Donnie and Harold. Farmer and plumber, he worked for Nebrig Plumbing Co. during the 1950's and 1960's. He was a member of Local 377 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. He was also a story teller and poet, and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church for about 40 years. He died at home of an apparent heart attack.
