Son to Kilian Peter Simon (b:12-04-1877 d: 04-01-1932) and Katherine "Kattie" Bertha Hildman Simon (b: 03-29-1884 d:12-31-1975) . He was the Kilian and Kattie's fifth child, of their seven children, and the 2nd oldest male. He was born on a Saturday in Ashford, Wisconsin on March 12th, 1921.

Linus married Florence Valeria Miller on May 1st, 1945 at St. Matt's in Campbellsport Wisconsin before he left for military service. Linus and Florence had 7 children, all boys, from 1946-1959.

Linus suffered from stomach cancer (like his father Kilian), and Alzheimers. He left this world on April 22nd, 2006. He is forever resting next to his life of his life Florence, and eldest son 'Father' John in Union/St. Matt's Cemetery in Campbellsport Wisconsin.

Linus was preceded in death by his granddaughter Jessica Abnet
