MRS. CATHERINE SIMON
Mrs. Catherine Simon, 91, of Ashford, Route 1, Campbellsport, died Wednesday evening at her home.
She was born on March 29, 1884, at West Brooklyn, Ill., the daughter of Matthias and Catherine Halbmaier Hildman. She was married to Kilian Simon on July 5, 1910, at Wesley, Iowa.
The couple lived in Iowa, Oklahoma and Colorado, and in 1919 they moved to Ashford where Mrs. Simon was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors include three sons Claver of Kewaskum, Linus of Campbellsport and Leo of Sheboygan; a daughter Mrs. Robert Gassner of Ashford; 30 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Matt of Sexton Iowa, and Anthony of Mason City, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Eisenbarth of Franklin, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 1, 1932, and by two daughters, a son, two grandchildren, three sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin's Church, Ashford. The Rev. George Etzel and the Rev. John Simon will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Kilian Cemetery at St. Kilian.
