MARYSVILLE -- John Gutierrez Casado, 82, died Monday, March 22, 1993, in the loving hands of Marwood Manor.

He was born Oct. 13, 1910, in Spain, the son of the late Antonio and Mercedes Casado and was a longtime area resident. He married Helen Provost Jan. 10, 1930. She died Oct. 13, 1992.

Mr. Casado was a former foreman with Ainsworth Manufacturing in Marysville. He owned and operated a Marathon station in Marysville for several years. He was also co-owner of International Induction and retired in 1975. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and winter resident of Tucson, Ariz.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor A. and F. Brian Bailey of Clyde Township; a son, John D. Casado of Marysville; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Toni and James Mericka of Tucson, Ariz., Carmen and Ted DeCourvel of Port Huron and Peg and Robert Hillock of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Emilio "Casey" and Mary Casado of Sault Ste. Marie and Pete and Evelyn "Toot" Casado of Marysville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Louis and Angelus.
