Dorothy Hope Ehler, 97, of Tamaroa, passed away at 1:07 P.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at the Fairview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Du Quoin.
Dorothy had worked as a seamstress at Bridal Originals in Du Quoin.
She was born December 12, 1921, at Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Warren and Anna (Marlow) Ehler.
She is survived by three nephews - W W. Ehler of Du Quoin, L Ehler of Galesburg and Charles of Du Quoin, two nieces - Coleen of Tamaroa and Laurell of Rio, one great nephew - R Ehler of Mulkeytown, and numerous other great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers - Jesse, Paul, Russell, Cecil, Frank, Charles and Leonard Ehler, five sisters - Mabel Hopp, Carmen Harris, Grace Huggins, Lola Moore and Lillian Fisher.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Arven officiating.
Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be in the Campbell Cemetery in Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to Campbell Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
