Cecil E. (Sig) Ehler, 78, Tamaroa, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:10 A.M. Saturday, September 21, at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
He was a retired custodian in the Du Quoin school system.
Born February 14, 1907, at Tamaroa, his parents were Warren and Anna (Marlow) Ehler. Surviving is one daughter, Jane Ehler of Du Quoin; four sisters, Mrs. David (Grace) Huggins, Mrs. Claude (Lola) Moore, Mrs. Harry (Lillian) Fisher and Hope Ehler all of Tamaroa, two brothers Frank Ehler of Du Quoin and Charles Ehler of Rio, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be, Tuesday, September 24, at 1:30 p.m. at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. Reverend Howard Rentfro will officiate. Internment will be in Campbell Cemetery in Tamaroa.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
