James O. Smith

James O. Smith, 88, of 915 Sumner Ave., Sumner, died in a Puyallup hospital Monday.
He was born in Clinton, Missouri. Mr. Smith had lived in Sumner 47 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Sumner. Mr. Smith was a retired chief custodian for the Sumner school district.
Mr. Smith leaves his wife, Estella; a son, Leslie of Sumner; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel S. Scales of San Francisco; three brothers, Joseph of Beaver City, Nebraska, Scott of Santa Cruz, California, and Fred of Ontario, California; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday in the Wrigley-Clements Funeral Home, Puyallup, with the Rev. W. A Moore officiating. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery.
