Magdalena "Lena" Richter Shore
Magdalena "Lena" Richter was born Dec. 9, 1921 in Alma, north of Joplin, Montana. In 1942 she married James Williams, Sr., and they had two children. Lena married Orville Shore Oct. 31, 1956, and they made their home in Chinook. Lena had two children and Orville had five children and Lena raised the all as her own. Before becoming ill, Lena enjoyed camping and fishing, baking and word puzzles.
Lena is survived by her husband Orville of Chinook; children, James Williams of Colorado Springs; Nora Weigand of Dodson, Mont.; Mary Galer of Antioch, Calif.; Orville Shore, Bay Shore, N.Y.; Tommy Weigand, Chinook; Betty Reed, Anaconda, Mont.; Donald Shore, Sturgis, S.Dak.; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Mader and Agnes Mader of Great Falls, Mont.; Francy Fraser and Virginia Adams of Inverness, Mont.; brothers, John Richter, Havre, Mont.; Frank Richter, Joplin, Mont.; Chris and Ray Richter of Hingham; Eddie Richter of Innerlocken, Mich. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Inverness. Burial in Inverness cemetery.
