Orville Oliver Shore
Orville O. Shore, 67, Chinook, died Monday, Feb. 5, 1990, of natural causes in a Havre hospital. Funeral services were held Friday with burial in Inverness cemetery.
Born in Big Sandy, he attended school there and worked on farms and ranches in that area. After World War II service he returned to Montana, operating the Virgelle ferry for five years. He worked for the railroad for 35 years, then became a rural mail carrier, retiring in 1983.
He and Marian Buchannon were married in 1948. He married Lena Richter in Oct. 1956 in Havre. She died in 1988.
Survivors include five daughters, two sons, three sisters, 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
