Ray Fredrickson, of Marshalltown, where she had lived for the last 17 years. She had been in failing health for 15 years.
She was born Alvena Rohwer, Aug. 28, 1868, in Walcott, the daughter of Claus and Frances Rohwer.
March 14, 1890, she was married to William Ballhorn in Toledo and he died in 1932. She was also preceded in death by an infant son and daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are six children, Mr. Henry Knoop, Traer; Harry Ballhorn, Fort Madison; Mrs. John William, Garwin; Mrs. Emil Bartling, Toledo; William Balllhorn Jr., St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Fredrickson. There are 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Katie Kensingcr, Tama, Mrs. Celia Carstenson, Pipestone, Minn., and George Rohwer, Marshalltown.
Service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the U. B. Church in Garwin.
Burial will be in Crystal Cemetery
