Annie Edna Burgess Ballard, 94, passed away peacefully at 11:38 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Mrs. Ballard was born on February 20, 1925 in Hardeman County, TN, the daughter of the late Homer Webster and Annie Hammons Webster.

A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Ballard lived all her life in the Roger Springs area and was a faithful member of Roger Springs Church of Christ. She worked for 22 years at Western State Mental Health Institute in Bolivar. She also worked as a home healthcare provider and as a factory worker.

Mrs. Ballard is survived by two daughters – Frances Kennamore McKee and Janice Lipford (Sam); 10 grandchildren – Jeff Kennamore (Amanda), Keith Kennamore (Donna), Angie Antwine (Randy), Mike Kennamore (Julie), Brad Lipford, Dana Sullivan (Mark), Autumn Burgess, Eric Lipford, Cassandra Burgess and Christina Djurickovic (Danny); 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is also survived by three sisters – Mary Elizabeth Thornton, Margie Wheaton and Lucille Shelby (Bobby) and a sister-in-law, Mary Ella Webster. She also leaves behind dozens of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins plus a special friend — Candis Cross.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ballard was preceded in death by two husbands – Brinson Burgess and Wade Ballard; a son – Barry Burgess; two sons-in-law – Jerome Kennamore and R.L. McKee; five brothers – Tate, Alver, Ed, Leon and Homer Aubrey Webster; and four sisters – Clara Galloway, Juanita Rhoades, Daphna Burnett and Laurine Janet Webster.
