Mary Elizabeth Webster Keller Thornton, age 90 of Middleton, TN, entered heaven December 4, 2019. The daughter of Homer and Annie Webster, Mrs. Thornton was preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh Keller; her second husband, Joe Thornton; her grandson, Jimmy Keller; and great-granddaughter, Amber Keller.

She is survived by her three sons: Jerry (Cathy) Keller, Bobby (Rose) Keller, and Larry (Betty Gail) Keller, all of Middleton, TN; four grandsons: John (Kathy) Keller, of Middleton, TN; Tommy (Heather) Keller, of Wilsonville, AL; Ronny Keller, of Ripley, MS; and William (Denise) Keller, of Middleton, TN; and one sister, Lucille (Bobby) Shelby, of Grand Junction, TN. Mrs. Thornton is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Thornton, known to everyone as Bibby, loved to crochet and gave away almost everything she made. Her family and friends all treasure multiple afghans and crocheted stuffed animals, known as “Bibby Babies.”

Family was always the most important thing in Mrs. Thornton’s life. In fact, she enjoyed her family so much, she saved her tips from her job as a waitress at The Town House restaurant to take her three sons and their families to Disney World when the grandsons were young. Other times, she showed just how brave of a grandmother she was by taking all five grandsons out to eat by herself or riding in the go cart with the boys.

She will be remembered for her love for her family, her absolute belief that her grandsons could do no wrong, and her work ethic that her sons and grandsons inherited.
