James Ernest Hatch, 63, farmer, livestock raiser and active L. D. S. church worker, died at his home in Woods Cross, Monday at 9:45 p. m. after a long illness.

Mr. Hatch was born at Woods Cross, November 30, 1866, son of Orin and Elizabeth Perry Hatch.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Annie E. Mann Hatch; three sons, Ray M. Hatch of Bountiful, Carl M. Hatch of Woods Cross and Reed M. Hatch of Layton; daughter, Mrs. Leo C. Parkin of Ogden, 14 grandchildren; eight brothers, Orin P. Hatch of Bountiful, John E. Hatch and Orvil Hatch of Salt Lake, Joseph E. Hatch of Randolph, E. T. and George Hatch of Woods Cross; Daniel and Walter Hatch of Oxford, Idaho and five sisters, Mrs. Amelia Jackson of Logan; Mrs. Chloe Grant and Miss Elizabeth Hatch of Woods Cross, Mrs. Myra Mann of Cowley, Wyo. and Mrs. Algie Grant of Salt Lake.

Funeral services were held in the South Bountiful chapel under the direction of Bishop Ezra T. Hatch, Thursday at 1 p. m. Interment was in the Bountiful cemetery.
