Gale Walker, a 74 year old Breckenridge resident, died Monday morning, Feb. 27, 1995, at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, at 3 p.m. at Woodson Cemetery, Reverend Leo Brooks, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. He was born on January 14, 1921 in Woodson. He grew up in Woodson and attended schools there. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married GLENDA WALKER in Breckenridge on May 8, 1953. They moved to Breckenridge in 1961 from Woodson. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a Baptist. He had worked for W.E. Brown as a heavy equipment operator. Survivors include his wife, GLENDA WALKER of Breckenridge; three daughters, JACKIE ENSEY of Breckenridge, SENIE STANLEY of Dallas and SHARVELLA WARNER of Saginaw; one brother, HORTON WALKER of Roswell, New Mexico; two sisters, BONNIE MITCHELL and VELMA MIXON, both of Breckenridge; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters. Honorary pallbearers will be JERRY DON AYLOR, ERIC CATES, BRENT ENSEY, SCOTTY ENSEY, TOM STANDORD and CHRIS STANLEY.
