Kathleen Byrge West age 84, of Huntsville, Tennessee, departed this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was born June 23, 1934 in Huntsville, Tennessee to the late Nathaniel Byrge and Betty Ann Lowe Byrge.
She was a member of the White Rock Baptist Church.
In 1972, Arnold and Kathleen established West Ready Mix Concrete, where Kathleen retired from. She was also very active with the youth at White Rock Baptist Church for several years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Dean West; infant daughter, Linda West; grandson, Bradley Norris; brothers, Walter, Winfield, Fred, James, Paul and Charlie; sisters, Lily, Edna, Ruth and Ivalene; brother-in-law, Donald West; sisters-in-law, Wanda West and Francine Wilson.
She is survived by her children, Sheila Norris and husband Lester, Dean West, Karla Love and husband Mark; (7) grandchildren, Andrew Norris, Darek Norris and wife Missi, Brent Norris, Jordan West and wife Destinee, Shay West and wife Madison, Katie West, Erika Schmelter and husband Shawn; (9) great grandchildren; (1) great great grandchild; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry West and wife Bonnie; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday Evening, April 5, 2019, from 6:00 P.M. until time of funeral service at 8:00 P.M., at the White Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Jim West and Bro. Dennis Jeffers officiating.
Music will be provided by the White Rock Baptist Church Youth Choir and Daniel Murley.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday morning, April 6, 2019 at the Arnold & Kathleen West Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Keeton, Arthur Acres, James Stephens, Darek Norris, Jordan West and Shay West.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Adkins, Shawn Schmelter, Brent Norris, Doris West, Shirley Elwartowski and Lisa Sexton
