Byrge, James Albert, Sr. –age 89 of Knoxville went to be with his Lord on Tuesday April 16, 2013 at Fort Sanders Regional. Member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a former member of Vestal United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was preceded in death by parents Nathan and Betty Byrge and several siblings. He is survived by wife of 67 years Perlie Thompson Byrge, daughter and son-in-law Elaine and Roy Warwick, son James Byrge, Jr. and wife Laura, granddaughter Jama Warwick Dean and husband Brooks, grandsons James (Trey) Byrge III, Caden Byrge, and Matthew Cox, great grandchildren Devin, Brooks II, and Camryn, sister Kathleen West and husband Arnold, special brother-in-law Harold Strunk, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Bruce Marston officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 12:45 pm Thursday for graveside services at 1:00 pm with full military honors conducted by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Boy Scouts Troop 506 at Christ United Methodist Church 7535 Maynardville Highway Knoxville, TN. 37938.
