Kathryn D. Hill Seward, 64, of Liverpool, formerly of rural Pekin, died Friday (Jan. 25, 1991) at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Nov. 11, 1926, in Dallas City to William and Mary Baker Layer, she married James W. Hill on Oct. 17, 1942, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Jan. 19, 1980, in Canton. She later married Norman "Speck" Seward on Oct. 5, 1987, in Lewistown. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel Hill and Charles Hill, both of Pekin; a daughter, Giselle Merill of Liverpool; a stepson, Richard Seward of Canton; five stepdaughters, Vicki Spahn of Brereton, Debra Kruzan of Liverpool, and Lisa Pace, Nancy Seward and Tonja Seward, all of Canton; two sisters, Ada Christianson of Pekin and Mary Nash of Mountain Home, Ark.; and four brothers, Roy Layer of Pekin, Harry Layer of Long Beach, Calif., Merlin Layer of Fayetteville, Ark., and William Layer of Texas.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Hill and Bill Hill; two daughters, Sharon Hill and Sheila Hill; two brothers and two sisters.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
