Ada Mae Christensen, 94, of 444 Parkway Drive died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Pekin Hospital.

Born March 8, 1906, in Pekin to William and Mary Baker Layer, she married Morton P. Christensen on March 11, 1923, in Dallas City. He died Aug. 9, 1985, in Pekin.

Also preceding her in death were three daughters, one son, one brother and four sisters.

Surviving are four sons, Donald (and Jacqueline) of Manito, Morton of Pompano Beach, Fla., Wayne of Waylan, Mich., and Dale (and Gail) of Tremont; three daughters, Patricia (and Floyd) Sanders of Plantation, Fla., Pamelia (and John) Hafliger of Pekin and Janet Christensen of Morton; and three brothers, Roy Layer of Pekin, Harry (and Mary) Layer of Long Beach, Calif., and Merlin (and Eunice) Layer of Fayetteville, Ark.

She was a homemaker.

She helped found Holliday School for the disabled in the Holliday Hills subdivision.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
