Helen Maud Metzker

Helen Maud Metzker, 79, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at her home. She was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Buckland, Mass., to Ed Bellows and Maud Bratton Bellows.

She married Henry Metzker on Feb. 21, 1951, in Reno, Nev. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at a nursing home in Chattanooga, Tenn., for 17 years. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sutherlin, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Metzker.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Chace of Siloam Springs; a son, Brian Metzker of Siloam Springs; a sister, Ellen Doretta Smith of Greenfield, Mass.; a brother, William Bailey Bellows of Charlemont, Mass.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 1, at the Allen Cemetery near Colcord, Okla., with Pastor Glen Hill.

Arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
