Charles B. Carr, 93, of Barberton, went home to be with the lord Nov. 17. Born in Lynn, W. Va., he had lived in the Akron area most of his life. He retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. after 34 years service, was a longtime member and had served in many offices ot Cottage Grove Evangelical Congregational Church, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army during World War I.
Preceded in death by his wife, Lela, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, William and. Norma Carr of Manchester; stepdaughter, Jean M. Shreiner of Barberton; seven grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.
Calling hours will be Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Schermesser Funeral Home, Suburban South Chapel, 600 E. Turkeyfoot lake Rd. (Route 619). Funeral services will be Monday, 1 1 a.m., at the Cottage Grove E. C. Church, 3133 Cottage Grove Rd., with Rev. John C. Ward and Rev. Harry I. Carmichael officiating.
