Lawrence Murch 'Ott' Carr, 66, died at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 1948, in his home at Carmichaels. He had been ill for about two years. Born March 16, 1882, at Lynn, W. Va., he was a son of the late William and Abbie Bush Carr. He had lived at Carmichaels for 13 years and was a former employee and was a former employee of the Buckeye Coal Company at Nemacolin. He was a member of the Greensboro Nazarene Church. His wife, Lennie Leota Osborne Carr, preceded him in death. Four children, Mrs. Lucy Mae Morris, Carmichaels; Mrs. Opal Lee Bowan, Akron, O.; Miss Isabelle Carr, Akron; and Miss Rella Roslie Carr, at home, survive. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Charles B., Akron, Ohio; Ralph, address unknown; James Brook, Arizona; Mrs. Nellie Waldeck, Weston, W. Va.; Mrs. Ethie Peters, Grafton, W. Va.; and Mrs. Lura Queen, Old Concord.
