"Leland C. Carr, 79, died January 7 after a short illness. He was born in Linn*, W. Va., and had lived in the Akron area since 1931. He worked at B. F. Goodrich for 24 years, retiring in 1964. He was a member of the B. F. Goodrich 20-Year Club. He is survived by stepdaughters, Blanche Rasche, of Doylestown, Naomi Calhoun, of Uniontown; brothers, Charles B. Carr, of Barberton, Brooks Carr, of Phoenix, Ariz.; four step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schermesser Funeral Home, Suburban South Chapel, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Route 619). Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, 11 a.m., with Rev. Harry I. Carmichael officiating. Interment East Liberty Cemetery."
