Born June 3, 1941 in Morgan County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Franklin and Grace Viola Fox Householder.
She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Dorothy attended Mt. Garfield School and Berkeley Springs High School. She had worked at Little Miss canning factory, Vanguard Products, Weber’s Meat Market, Berkeley Springs Bowlerama and Dugan’s Supermarket. She worked as a house cleaner and enjoyed canning. Dorothy loved to play Yahtzee and had been a homemaker in recent years. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Diane Smith of Berkeley Springs, her companion of 10 years, Robert “Bob” Stotler of Berkeley Springs, a sister, Anna Rosalie Michael of Berkeley Springs, a brother, Walter Louis Householder of Hedgesville, WV, two granddaughters, Amanda Brook Stevens and Alicia Nichole Smith, both of Berkeley Springs, four great grandchildren, Alexia Grace Stevens, Elijah Westley Stevens, Sunni Brook Stevens and Lilliana Avacyn Francis, all of Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Cyrus “Buck” Beeler, Jr. on October 23, 2000, three sisters, Alice Lavina Hobday, Nettie Virginia Michael and Frances Jane Taylor, and three brothers, Raymond Householder, Homer Franklin Householder and Freddie Householder.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 10123 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, WV with Pastor Michael Leedom officiating. Interment will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
