Carl Glen Rowden, 56, of Meta died Saturday, April 23, 1988 at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City of injuries he suffered earlier. He was born Marcy 1, 1932 in Osage Cunty to Elmer and Nora May Sloan Rowden. On Dec. 31, 1951 he ws married in Harrison, Arkansas to Rosa Dake, who survives at the home.

Mr. Rowden had been a livestock dealer for a number of years.

Surviving him are two sons, Rick Rowden of Meta and Kerry Rowden of Iberia; three daughters, Diana Neal and Glenda Roark of Meta and Carla Maylee of Iberia; three brothers, Virgil Rowden of Meta, Curtis Rowden of Edwards, Ill. and Norman Rowden of Iberia; three sisters, Mabel Sloan of Dixon and Marie Ahart and Lorene Workman, both of Iberia; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Skiles officiating. Burial was in Brays Cemetery.
