Elmer Timothy Rowden, 82, Iberia, died Monday April 8, 1974 at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born July 28, 1891, in Miller County, the son of John "Tolike" and Rachael Deborah Short Rowden. On Oct. 9, 1916, he was married to Nora May Sloan, who survives.
Mr. Rowden resided in Miller and Maries counties all of his life. He was employed as a farmer and laborer. He was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church near Iberia.

Funeral services will be Thursday at the Stevinson Funeral Home Chapel, Iberia, with the Rev. Don DeClue officiating.
Burial will be in Bray's Cemetery near Iberia.
