Boswell, John D.
Funeral services for John D. Boswell, 75, Columbus, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at McKown Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be the Rev. James Reid, and burial will be in Columbus Cemetery. The body is to lie in state until 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Boswell who had resided at 2122 22nd Street died Friday morning at Epply Care Center in Omaha. He had been ill the past one and a half years.
The son of James and Lucy Ellen (Blair) Boswell, he was born October 25th 1899 in Silver Creek. A lifetime resident of the Columbus vicinity, he had worked for the T. B. Hord Grain Company here.
Mr. Boswell was married to Ethel Warnick on Aug 18, 1918 in Columbus.
Surviving are four sons, Carroll Boswell of Grand Island, John Lloyd and Robert of Columbus and Leonard L of Platte Center; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Lucille) Kubicek of Columbus; 13 grandchildren and two great grand-children; one brother, Joe Boswell, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Adam, both of Independence Kan.
He was preceded in death by his wife and three infant children; parents, two brothers and two sisters
Married Ethel Eva Warnick on August 5, 1918 in Columbus, Platte, NE.

Daughter: Lucille (Kubicek)
Infants Melvin, Thelma and Julian died during infancy.
