Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Childress cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones was born July 13, 1918, to Robert Eugene and Jessie Pearson King Jones in Childress. He married Ruby on Dec. 22, 1941, in Childress.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Kay Whitten of Childress; a son, Robert Jones Jr.; two sisters, Dorothy Jean Bennett and LaJuana Thaten, both of Childress; three brothers, Rayford Jones, and James Jones, both of Tell, and Joe Jones of Childress; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the Childress Veterans Memorial or Meals on Wheels.
