"In 1983 when I visited the grounds where the Etherton homestead once stood the family graveyard was located. At that time Anna's gravestone was found as well as her mother's and three of her siblings. Her stone was plain and on the ground, but in fair condition and could be read. Inscribed: Anna, Dau. of J. & E. Etherton, Died Jan. 14, 1848 (The 4 in the year had been scratched over with a different style 4. It was evident that part of the old 4 had worn away.), Aged 16y 5m 21d. Cattle runs in the area and the burial ground is not protected. Louise Taraba 47677075, a descendant, 8/2015."
