Allen McKnight RansdeU, 68, of US Bruce Court, died Tuesday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Lexington, after a long illness He was retired from Kentucky State Hospital maintenance department and was a veteran of World War II. He was born Nov 22, 1912, in Mercer County. Survivors include his wife, Dora Ransdell; a son Mack Ransdell of Danville; three brothers, Kenneth of Oran, Mo.. Everett of Bountiful, Utah and Freddy Ransdell of Vesalia, Calif; two sisters, Alma Baker of Perryville and Lucille Smith of Rock Springs, Wyo. and three grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home with burial in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Larry Robbins, Paul McCrysal, Butch Pass, Allen Harlow, Jack McGinnis, John Porter and Ralph Cress. Ransdell died Tuesday after a long illness.
