Chalon Alonzo Search, resident of Newark, Ohio and foreman at the Wellsville Stove Factory, died Apr 30, 1926 at the Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, at age 63 yrs 8 mos. He was born August 18, 1862 in Vinton County, Ohio, the son of Ira R Search and Tabitha Straight. He was married to Emma Dorothy Riggles on Mar 16, 1883 in Franklin County, Ohio. From this union the following known children were born:
Elizabeth Search (1888-1959) married Walter Jones
Tabitha Search (1889-1962) married Charles Dodson
William Lewis Search (1891-1980)
Nora Dorothy Search (1894-1972) married William Haslop
Earl R Search Hume Sheldon: Adopted son, married Ada Happerset

His wife, Emma, died on October 11, 1906. She was buried in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio. He remarried to Lydia Norman Haslop, widow of William Haslop, on Aug 3, 1912 in Muskingum County. She survived him, passing away in 1943. His burial was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newark, Ohio.
