Mrs. Julia Ablett, widow of Philip Ablett and one of the oldest residents of Cohoes, died at her home, 87 Vliet Street, after suffering a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Ablett had been a resident of Cohoes for many years. She was a member of St. Agnes' Church and is survived by four daughters, Misses Emma and Mary Ablett, teachers in public schools, and Clara and Agnes Ablett, and four sons, J. William and Frank S., of Cohoes; Albert B. of New York City and John of Troy.
By the 1900 census, Julia has had 12 children and 9 are living.
[note: another obit lists Albert E.; and that Frank S. resides at Suncook, NH. in the 1900 census, her age and birth year are messy but she can't be so close in age as her children so her birth year must be 1837 not 1857]
