Joann Andrews Cox, age 78, of Toccoa, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Rebecca Manor in Cleveland, GA.

Born November 3, 1939 in Toccoa, she was a daughter of the late James Lewis and Nezzie Alma Verner Andrews.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Toccoa and was a homemaker. Joann was very strong in her Christian Faith and loved her family dearly. She was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed attending the football games and also loved to travel.

Family members include her children and their spouses, Susan and Todd Stewart of Clarkesville, Kimberly and Jack Eberhart of Winterville, and Mark and Mary Elise Cox of Dahlonega; grandchildren, William Jordan Stewart, Cassidy Danielle Eberhart, Anniston Grace Eberhart, Gracyn Victoria Stewart, Iva Mae Cox, and Emmeline Malo Cox; brothers, Clarence Andrews and Jack Andrews; sister, Guynell Ansley; special cousin, Sara Jean Novack; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William Laverne and Betty Cox; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and the many children she cared for over the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Everett Cox.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Toccoa First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ritcey and the Rev. Brett Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Mike Cox, David Cox, Reeder Baskins, Doug Andrews, Russell Cheek, and Charles Andrews.

Larry Ansley, Scott Andrews, and the Gleaners Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
