She was baptized in the Church of Christ on April 12, 1925. She later transferred to the Hartley Methodist church.
After a short illness, she passed away Thursday morning, September 5, 1957, at St. Joseph's hospital at Sioux City, at the age of 63 years, one month, 27 days.
On February 18, 1917, sha was united in marriage to Eber Salser. They lived in and near Sutherland until April, 1928, when they moved to Hartley. To this union five daughters were born.
In 1947 she started and managed the Salser Nursing Home and continued until a short time before her death. She was a member of the W.S.C.S., Miriam Circle, W.R.C., Rebekahs's Past Noble Grands, Royal Neighbors and the Amvets.
Her parents and her six brothers, Owen and Roy Cooper of Hartley; Henry Cooper, Cherokee, Iowa; Charles Cooper, Sutherland, Iowa; Albert Cooper, Spencer, Iowa; Orlo Cooper, LeMars, Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. Edith Kennedy, Cherokee, Iowa, all preceded her in death.
She is survived by five daughters: Eleanor (Mrs. Cecil Severance of Emmetsburg, la.); Opal (Mrs. Earl Vaughan of Colorado Springs, Colorado); LaVonne (Mrs. Dwight Lorenzen, of Blue Earth, Minnesota); Darlene (Mrs. Gerald McHugh of Arvada, Colorado); Billie (Mrs. Alan Beckman, Colorado Springs, Colo.); four sisters: Mrs. Grace Smith, Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. Math Nocthe, Sutherland, Iowa; Mrs. Win. Melton, Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Jim Bomar, Cherokee, Iowa; and one brother, Earl Cooper of Springdale, Wash.; eight grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, September 10, at two o'clock at the Hartley Methodist church by her pastor, the Rev. Raymond A. Roloff. Carl Wiese, Leslie Getting, Hobart Putnam, Melvin Tuttle, Mario Waterhouse, and Carl Hain served as pallbearers. Interment was In Waterman cemetery at Sutherland.
