Orlow James Cooper, son of John Cooper and Myrtle M. Brown was born in April 28, 1902 in O'Brien County, Iowa and died July 12, 1953 in Sioux County, Iowa, when he was killed in a car-train crash. He married Metta Margaretta Hansen on August 20, 1928 in Cherokee, Iowa. Survivors are his wife, Metta, two sons, James Orlow and Robert Lee, both serving in the Army, a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Joyce) Sawin, Soldier, Iowa, and one grandchild.
