TROUP - Graveside services for James. E. Hamilton, 84, San Angelo, formerly of Troup, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Fairmount Cemetery with the Rev. Ruben Ramirez officiating under direction of Johnson's Funeral Home, San Angelo.

Mr. Hamilton died March 4, 2007, in San Angelo.

He was born Aug. 31, 1922, in Troup to the late Looney Oliver and Ethel Odell Hamilton. He retired from the Air Force, having served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in Europe, and in Korea and Japan with the Air Force. He received several medals, including one Bronze Star. He retired to San Angelo.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ina V. Anderson Hamilton, San Angelo; children, James R. Hamilton, Rotan, Gayle Quicksall and Rick Hamilton, both of San Angelo; brothers, Jack Hamilton, Troup, and Glenn Hamilton, Kilgore; sisters, Odell Nesbit, Lindale, Birdie Knight, Troup, and Lucille Johnson, Mineola; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
