Fern H. Burnett, 74, of Rochester died at 6:27 p.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital.

She was born Aug. 30, 1916, in Springfield, the daughter of O.B. and Josephine Power Black. She married Edward Burnett in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1947. Also preceding her in death were a stepmother, Harriet Black; one sister, Eva Fink, one brother, Bud Black; one half-sister, Mildred Staten; and one half-brother, Paul Black.

Mrs. Burnett was a lifelong resident of Springfield.

Surviving are two half-brothers, Edward Black of De Are, Mo., and Harold Black of Portland, Ore.; one sister, Clara Slane of Biloxi, Miss.; three half-sisters, Jennie Forsyth and Eileen Wilson, both of Springfield, and Lorine Bissel of Auburn; one aunt; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chester Painter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
