He enlisted, under age, in the U.S. Army World War I and served in France. During WW II the Army told him you still belong to us, and put him on guard duty at Boeing.

Services for John Donald Jones, 71, a retired security Captain at Boeing Co., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Broadway Mortuary. Father Paul Alderman, of All Saints Catholic Church Officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. He died Wednesday in Monroe, Louisiana, where he had lived for about a year.
Born in Butler County, Kan., he lived in Wichita for many years, until 1964 when he went to Hot Springs, Ark.,and in 1969 moved to Monroe.
Survivors include two daughters, a brother and four sisters.
