In 1900, in Milam County, Texas, she married Sam Wooley and had two children, Vernon (1901) and Samuel Jr. (1903). Wooley Sr. died in 1903.

In 1905, in Oklahoma, she married Dallas Elsbury. With him she had one son named Theo (1907).

In 1907, in Bell County, Texas, she married Robert Roedler, with whom she had seven children: Bob (1908), William (1910), JD (1912), Doris (1913), Opal (1915), Dewitt (1917), and Letha (1919). Robert Roedler died in 1920.

Ludie married William Bell in 1923, in Lampasas, Texas. With him she had a daughter, Eva Lou (1926).

She died in 1959 at the age of 74.
