Alma Dugas Carbo, 97, left her Earthly journey Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Baton Rouge Health Care Center. She was a homemaker, KC Auxiliary member and a resident of Donaldsonville. Alma was born July 27, 1912, in Brusly McCall. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ernest Carbo; parents, Josephine and Joseph Dugas; sister, Alberta Usey; and brothers, Cedric and Sidney Dugas. She is survived by a daughter, Patsy and husband Bennie Benoit, of Zachary; son, E.J. and wife Georgette Carbo, of Lafayette; and a sister-in-law, Hilda Dugas, of Donaldsonville. She loved and enjoyed her seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Thursday, Jan. 7, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, on Friday at 11 a.m. Entombment in the church mausoleum. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Lane Regional Medical Center, Zachary, Baton Rouge Health Care Center and Life Source Hospice of Baton Rouge.
