A retired house painter and resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 1997, in Baton Rouge. He was 89 and a native of Brusly McCall. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, celebrated by the Rev. Joe Goss, O.P. Interment in Ascension Catholic Cemetery. Survived by wife, Hilda Sanchez Dugas, Donaldsonville; two sisters, Elma Dugas Carbo and Alberta D. Usey, both of Donaldsonville; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Josephine Carbo Dugas; and a brother, Cedric Dugas.
