Sanborn - Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran church Friday afternoon for Mrs. Theo. Stern, 33 years old and mother of nine children who died January 16 at the Springfield hospital.
She became ill about a week prior to her death with double pneumonia and was recovering rapidly when heart trouble suddenly ended her life.
Besides her husband and her children, Glen, Wilbur, Warren, Arlene, Bertha, Leona, Herman, Elizabeth and Ruth Evelyn, she leaves six brothers, three sisters and her father. Before her marriage she was Miss Elizabeth Kosel.
Rev. Scheirnbeck officiated at the services and burial was in the city cemetery. Six members of the class with which she was confirmed in 1916 acted as pall bearers.
