Edith Lowery Fisher, age 88, ended her earthly journey Friday morning May 21, 1999, and entered into her heavenly home to join her late husband, Forrest Fisher, her mother and dad, John and Lula Biddix Lowery, her brother and sisters, Cora Hollifield, Dusky Cresawn, Bascom and Garrett Lowery, Nell Simmons, Pauline Boyd, but most of all to see her Heavenly Father whom she had walked so closely with here in this life for 77 years.
Following her on this earthly jouney is her son and his wife Phillip and Martha Fisher and grandson Kenneth Fisher of Spruce Pine; daughter and husband Margaret and Paul Boyd of Marion and three granddaughters, Cindy Blust, Camellia "Cammy" Brown, and Sharon Peterson, two great granddaughters, and eight great grandsons; and two sisters, Fay Biddix of Spruce Pine and Thelma McGee of Marion.
Visitation was at Westmoreland Funeral Home on Saturday, May 22,1999 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The service was held at Turkey Cove Baptist Church on Sunday, May 23, 1999, at 3 p.m. with the Revs. Harold Sprinkle, Luther Carver and Kenneth Burleson officiating.
The burial was at Turkey Cove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 1166 Marion, N.C. 28752.
