Joseph was born in Santo Amaro, St Jorge, the Azores Islands. He married Mary Barcellos 25 July 1892 at St Patricks Church, Arroyo Grande, California. He came to the US about 1880 and was a farmer. Joseph and Mary had nine children. Joseph 1894-1895, George Isadore 1896-1956, Helena 1897-1996, Henry Barcellos 1899-1955, Margaret 1901-1988, Adelaida (Ida) Lucille 1903-1988, Angela 1904-1904, Mary Ann 1906-1970 and Joseph 1909-1975

OBITUARY
JOSEPH ENOS PASSES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Joseph Enos, 65, retired farmer, passed away Saturday afternoon at his ranch home two and one half miles southest of Santa Maria, following an illness of the past seven months duration.
Mr. Enos was a native of the Azores Islands and came to the United States 45 years ago, settling in San Luis Obispo. Two years later he was engaged in farming at Oso Flaco and after his marriage to Miss Mary Barcellos of Arroyo Grande, he moved to the present family residence, and since has been a prominent member of the community and valley.
He was a member of Council No. 24 IDES and Council No 66 UPEC.
The deseased is survived by the wife, Mary Barcellos Enos; three sons. George, Henry and Joseph Jr; four daughters, Lena, Margaret, Ida and Mary. One sister, Mrs. Marie Simas, in the Azores Islands, also survives.
The funeral will leave the residence tomorrow morning at 9:15 o'clock and high mass will be conducted at the St Mary's Catholic Church, in charge of Father J O Mahoney. Interment will be made in the Santa Maria Mausoleum, with Albert A Dudley of the Albert a Dudley Funeral Home in charge.
