BOCK--Funeral services for Leo H. Bock on Thursday
Services for Leo H. Bock, 42, who died unexpectedly Monday evening in Douglas County hospital, Omaha, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic church, Bellwood.
The Rev. G.C. Messman will officiate and burial will be in St. Bonaventure cemetery, Columbus, with military graveside rites by the Bellwood American Legion Post of which he was a member.
Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. today at the McKown Funeral Home chapel where the body lies in state.
Mr. Bock was born at Bellwood on Jan. 25, 1922, the son of Frank and Anna Seidel Bock. He attended Bellwood schools. Later he lived in North Platte and Denver, and four years ago he moved to Omaha where he was a partner in the Bock and Fees Insurance Agency.
During World War II he served in the Army from 1943 to January, 1946, with overseas duty in the Philippines.
Mr. Bock was an outstanding baseball player. He was a former member of the Bellwood Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, the former Irene Zuroski, whom he married June 29, 1941 in Salina, Kan.; two chidren, Gary Lee and Judy Ann of Omaha; his parents of Bellwood; eight brothers and sisters, Frank, jr., Harold, Mrs. Paul (Elsie) Kruse and Mrs. Fred (Irene) Brase, all of Bellwood; Mrs. Harry (Anna) Conrad of Logan, Ia., Mrs. Ben (Wilma) Hopkin of Omaha, Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Peters of David City and Roy Bock of Columbus.
