Margaret Della Pieters was born December 21, 1919 near Bellwood, Nebraska to Frank and Anna (Siedel) Bock. She received her education in rural Butler County Schools.

On February 24, 1938, she married Walter N. Pieters in Bellwood. To this union, ten children were born. The family lived in Bellwood, Schuyler and David City.

Margaret worked for many years at Grubbs Grocery and Didier Grocery in Schuyler and also at the Bellwood Grocery.

She was a member of the Bellwood Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, The Red Hat Club in Bellwood and American Legion Auxiliary of Schuyler. Margaret was an active member of her church and became a resident of David Place in July of 2012.

Margaret is survived by two sons; Laverne (Sandi) Pieters of Columbus and Mike (Bonnie Novak) Pieters of Unadilla, seven daughters; Phyllis Sladek, Sharon (Bob) Oborny and Marilou Pieters, all of Columbus, Janet (Larry) DeWispelare of David City, Diann (John) DeRiso of North Loup, Nancy (Loren) Hammer, of Norfolk, Lori (Mike) Brezina of Linwood and a brother, Roy Bock of St. Edward. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Pat Oleson, sons-in-law; Charles Sladek, Jerry Michaelsen and Kenneth Oleson, three brothers; Frank, Harold and Leo Bock and four sisters; Elsie Kruse, Anna Conrad, Velma Hopkins and Irene Brase.
