Ina B. Hawkins, daughter of the late Charles and Sadie Hawkins, was born in Alexandria on Jan. 21, 1914. She was married to Gust Larson in Alexandria on August 30, 1947. They lived in Alexandria until 1954, then moved to Montevideo where they lived until 1965. They moved to Cosmos in 1965 and operated the Diner Cafe until 1971. In 1972, they moved to Litchfield and she was employed by Jennie-O Foods until 1975.
She is survived by her husband, Gust Larson of Litchfield; three daughters, Mrs. Don (Darlene) Erickson of Hutchinson, Mrs. George (Carol) King of New London, and Marily Larson of Hopkins; six grandchildren; two brothers, Merle Hawkins of Fargo, N.D., and Vernon Agnew of Washhougal, Wash.; and two sisters, Josephine Linser of Albert Lea and Nora Kimbell of Grand Rapids.
She was preceded in death by two sons and two half-brothers.
Funeral services were held March 16 at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, with the Rev. Ronald Onnen and intern Bruce Hanson officiating. Mrs. Garfield Kittelson was the organist. The soloist, Mrs. Robert Sparboe, sang “Rock of Ages” and “The Lord’s Prayer;” Spring interment will be in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield.
Pallbearers were Keith Hawkins, Wallace Hawkins, Richard Maloney, Brian Omland, LeRoy Omland and John Larson.
Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from North Dakota, Minneapolis, Albert Lea, Osakis, Cosmos, Hutchinson, Willmar, St. James, Litchfield and Owatonna.
