Earl Plagman entered service in the United States army on Dec. 28, 1943. He received his training at Camp Fannin, Texas and at Fort George Meade, Maryland. In August of last year he went overseas to European battlefronts and fought with the Seventh Army in France until he was killed in action on Dec. 1, 1944.
His age was almost 32 years. Surviving are his widow, Ina Plagman; two children, Richard Earl, 6 and Darlene Ann, 1. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Charles Waswo, who lives near Wayzata; one sister, Mrs. Nick Schwitalla (Carolina) of Wayzata and five brothers, Fred, Otto and Marvin of Alexandria, William of Willmar and Orval in the armed forces in Belgium. His father Wm. Plagman, preceded him in death in 1925.
Military memorial services were held in the Zion Lutheran church last Sunday, Jan. 28 at 2:30. The Rev. A. C. Seltz conducted the services.
