Mrs. Hawkins had been sick for about four months and was taken to the hospital Monday of last week where she was operated on Wednesday for gall stones, but it proved too much for her and she passed away Saturday morning.
Sadie May Alger was born at Glidden, Iowa, December 12, 1888 making her thirty-eight years and four months of age at the time of her death. She came to Minnesota with her parents at the age of nine years. She was married to Lawrence Agnew at Long Prairie, Minnesota in 1903 and two children were born to this union, Clifford, who died when a small child and Vernon Lynn, who is now twenty years of age. Mrs. Hawkins was a woman of a sunny disposition well liked by all who knew her, and was a great comfort to her aged parents. She was a loving mother and wife and will be greatly missed by her family circle. One sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
