James Hartland Cobb A son of Willard Cobb and Amy Allen Cobb James was born in Rutland Vermont and came to Decatur County, Indiana in 1828 where the family settled until 1843 when Willard and wife Amy along with some children moved to Mahaska county Iowa.
James our subject married Margaret Newman in Decatur County Indiana Nov. 5, 1835 the couple went west with the family in 1843 and settled in Davis County Iowa by 1850 they had the following know children.
