Funeral services for Mr. Peter Vos of Sheldon were held at the First Reformed church in Boyden at 1:30 p. m. Monday, March 29 with Rev. Henri J. Steunenberg officiating. Burial was in the Newkirk cemetery.

Mr. Peter Vos passed away at his home southwest of Sheldon on Friday morning, March 26, following a lung tumor operation.

He was born August 6 1892, on a farm northwest of Hospers, Ia.

On February 1921, he was united in marriage to Mattie Mouw. They made their home in Sibley for five years, after which they moved to the Sheldon locality, where they lived the last 28 years. Tot his union one daughter, Bernice, Mrs. Arie Roos, was born.

Mr. Vos is survived by his wife, one daughter, two granddaughters, one sister, Minnie (Mrs. William Kastien) of Hospers, Iowa, one brother, Harry Vos, of Sheldon, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Those who preceded him in death are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vos; two brothers John and Martin, and two sisters, Mattie, Mrs. Clarence Ottens, and Anna, Mrs. Neal Boterhoek.

He was a member of the First Reformed church of Boyden.

The funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Coop Burial Association of Sioux Center.
